IOTA viert 60 jaar!

HAM RADIO: In Friedrichshafen, aan de oevers van het Bodenmeer, draait van 28 tot 30 juni alles om amateurradio. Deze bijeenkomst zal, in samenwerking met de organisatoren en de DARC als conceptsponsor van Europa's grootste amateurradiobeurs, de deuren openen een wereld vol vrijwel onbeperkte mogelijkheden. Deze enorme, open wereld is een belangrijk onderdeel van het motto van HAM RADIO 2020: We vieren 60 jaar IOTA-Islands On The Air!

The international IOTA program was established in 1964 to promote radio contact with stations located on islands all over the world. From small rocky islands in vast oceans to the biggest islands, this program has promoted radio contacts since 1964. Many IOTA participants and fans can relate stories of adventures on remote islands. IOTA represents the sense of adventure that each radio amateur experiences, even if they don't set sail themselves. It is also a sign of friendly competition between radio amateurs. IOTA represents the importance of amateur radio, as a unifying force around the world.

Het motto van de 47e HAM-radio is "60 jaar eilanden in de ether: technologie ontmoet avontuur!".

Van 28 tot 30 juni 2024 zal de internationale amateurradiotentoonstelling professionals uit de industrie en liefhebbers van de hamradiogemeenschap samenbrengen.

De 46e Internationale Amateur Radio Tentoonstelling eindigt met een stijging van het aantal bezoekers. Tentoonstellingsslogan: "We're All About STEM!" past bij de geest en tijd.
